AIRBUS DEFENCE AND SPACE, S.A.U. participates in the project ARTS - New broadband communications technologies and resilience integrated into aerostructures, a project that has been funded by the CDTI (PTAG-20211007), with the support of the Ministry of Science and Innovation, and the "Next Generation EU" funds, in particular by the European Union Recovery and Resilience Facility established by Council Regulation (EU) 2020/2094 of 14 December 2020, establishing a European Union Recovery Instrument to support recovery following the COVID-19 crisis, and regulated under Regulation (EU) 2021/241 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 12 February 2021 establishing the Recovery and Resilience Mechanism.
The ARTS project emerged as a leading research initiative aimed at developing a new generation of high-frequency, low-profile antennas with electronic beam steering, integrated into the aerostructure, ensuring that they do not in any way alter the aerodynamic surface of the platforms.
