Project description
The objective of the TOPFAN project is to investigate the necessary technologies for integrating next generation USF / Open Fan engines into the architecture of future generation aircraft. These technologies could contribute to more efficient aviation in the medium term, with reduced net emissions as well as a considerable reduction in the acoustic impact.
This project has been subsidised by the CDTI with file number PTAG-20231001 through the 2023 funding call of the “Programa Tecnologico Aeronautico” programme, within the framework of the “Plan de Recuperación, Transformación y Resiliencia” (financed by Next Generation EU funds, including the “Mecanismo de Recuperación y Resiliencia”) and the “Programa Estatal para Catalizar la Innovación y el Liderazgo Empresarial del Plan Estatal de Investigación Científica y Técnica y de Innovación 2021-2023” programme.
