Project description
AIRBUS OPERATIONS S.L. participates in the development of the project PEGASO- TECHNOLOGIES FOR ADVANCED SUPPORTING SURFACES IN INDUSTRIALLY OPTIMIZED PREPREGS whose objective is to address research into intelligent manufacturing technologies, automated and high-throughput, as well as new materials that improve the carbon footprint of aircraft, and recycling technologies that ensure the circular economy. PEGASO is focused on researching the automated, optimized, economical and eco-efficient manufacturing of a high production rate short-range aircraft wing in carbon fiber preimpregnated composite versus the current metal solution.
This project has been funded by the CDTI, with support from the Ministry of Science and Innovation, under the PTAG-20211001 through the call for 2021 of the procedure for granting aid to Strategic Sectoral Initiatives for Business Innovation ("Aeronautical Technological Programme"), within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (financed by Next Generation EU funds, including the Recovery and Resilience Facility) and the State Programme for Business Leadership in R&D&i, the State Plan for Scientific and Technical Research and Innovation 2017-2020.
