Project description
The main purpose of the project is to boost the mission of “Promoting Spanish industry in XXI century industrial revolution”, looking for the development of disruptive technologies for the industry regarding its transformation and digitalisation to achieve higher competitiveness and resource efficiency, by means of digital transformation and connectivity. OPTIMUS addresses
- the flexible automated (multi-operational) manufacturing processes for the processing of multi-material/multifunctional parts and with embedded sensorisation;
- hybridisation between the physical and digital environments;
- collaborative environments between human-robot, robot-robot, human-machine/production systems, with modelling, simulation and advanced programming of collaborative scenarios;
- and technologies for eco-design and sustainable, safe and efficient industrial production in all parts of the supply chain.
This Project has been granted by CDTI with file number MIG-20211010 through the 2021 call of the “Misiones Ciencia e Innovación” programme, within the framework of the “Plan de Recuperación, Transformación y Resiliencia” (financed by Next Generation EU funds, including the “Mecanismo de Recuperación y Resiliencia”) and the “Programa Estatal para Catalizar la Innovación y el Liderazgo Empresarial del Plan Estatal de Investigación Científica, Técnica y de Innovación 2021-2023” programme.
