Project description
H2 OPTICS is focused on the necessary research to address the future viability of the ZEROe concept in terms of liquid H2 monitoring and fire detection and prevention. One of the technological challenges to overcome in the project is the installation of a network of sensors to monitor the entire propulsion system (hydrogen tanks, fuel cells). This monitoring system must operate under extreme and dangerous conditions. It will incorporate a Centralized Optical Interrogator that will centralize control and monitoring.
This project has been granted by the CDTI with project number PTAG-20221003 through the call for the year 2022 of the Aeronautical Technological Program, included in the State Program to Catalyze Innovation and Business Leadership of the Scientific and Technical Research and Innovation Plan 2021-2023, within the framework of the National Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (financed by Next Generation EU funds, including the Recovery and Resilience Mechanism).
